Abstract
  • The thesis is that adult inquirers into the Christian faith need relationship and information resources, beyond those normally available in church school and worship settings, for discipleship to be a live option. The project consists of seven chapters: 1) a theological reflection upon evangelism; 2) a brief historical sketch of evangelism among adult inquirers in the early church and in early Wesleyan traditions; 3) the nature and scope of Christian education among adults; 4) reflection upon the practicum design; 5) a detailed practicum design for evangelism among adult inquirers; 6)evaluation of this evangelism strategy; and 7) conclusions and recommendations for redesigning this strategy.
