Abstract
  • There is a general lack of knowledge among laypeople of both the facts and the significance of Christian history. To address this perceived need, the author's goal was to write a church history curriculum for the layperson. Research for the curriculum included both educational theory and historical study. An analysis of two popular Bible study curriculums (Bethel and Kerygma) was also performed as part of the preliminary research. The finished curriculum has fourteen lessons that cover the historical period of the apostolic church through the Protestant Reformation. The lessons include lectures, homework assignments, and a teacher's guide.
