Abstract
  • This project seeks to create meaningful relationships among participants at Hillcrest Baptist Church. The Soul Friend Model calls each participant to a three-month commitment to be paired with another person who seeks to learn discipleship. The model hopes to move a person from a surface, casual commitment to a discipling relationship within the local church. The project accomplished growth in specific areas of devotional life, Christian relationships, evangelism, and ministry through the local church. The project proved that relationships based on encouragement and accountability greatly influence personal growth and discipleship.
