Abstract
  • Preachers can help parishioners recall the sermon. This paper records what happened when the author added extra music, stories and objects one at a time to the sermon delivery. One week later listeners filled out questionnaires. The responses to sermons delivered without the extra element were compared to the responses of sermons delivered without the extra element. Nearly 15 percent (average) more listeners could recall the sermon one week later when the preacher added these elements in sermon delivery as compared to times when the preacher did not add these elements to sermon delivery.
