Abstract
  • This paper attempts to answer the question: 'How is the identity and role of pastor enhanced or better informed as a result of discovering how the congregation embraced or failed to embrace a reformed understanding of forgiveness and reconciliation as presented in liturgy, word, theological reflection, and spiritual disciplines?' Through a six-week series on the Reformed doctrines of justification and sanctification, worship and class topics include: defining justification, the role of confession, asking for forgiveness, forgiving others, forgiveness and health, and the connection between justification and sanctification.
