- Abstract
- This thesis contends that the spiritual decline that is currently being experienced within evangelical community of faith is a result of the removal of the centrality of humanity's created purpose to glorify God from the gospel. The author seeks to prove theologically, biblically, historically, and experientially that fallen humanity has always been naturally resistant to this God-centered relationship because of the inbred, sinful, self-centeredness that lies within the human heart. The intent of this thesis is to bring clarity to the critical link between spiritual revival and the divinely created purpose to glorify God.
