Abstract
  • The purpose of the project was provision of respite care to caregivers of homebound adults. Respite care was defined as stress intervention. The project offered caregivers three hours per week of volunteer care. The biblical and theological foundation for the ministry centered on the relational nature of God as revealed in scriptural material on the history of Israel, the ministry of Christ, and the development of the church. The study expressed the truth that God is intensely and intimately interested in humanity. Therefore, the same relational interest should characterize the people of God.
