- Abstract
- This project focuses on the implications of the intercultural discussion, its theory and philosophy, as well as its theology applied to the establishment of new churches, mainly relying on David J. Bosch's reading of the Gospel of Matthew, in dialogue with the Committee on Evangelism and Church Development of the Presbytery of Tampa Bay, in the hope to visualize from a theological perspective the contribution that immigrant groups can bring to the mainline traditions. The importance for mainline traditions in the U.S. to develop an inter-cultural theoretical and theological framework in the establishment of an inclusive church, is crucial, and the intercultural perspective of the church found in Matthew's Gospel can shed some light into this discussion.
