Abstract
  • Cross-cultural work teams provide participants an excellent opportunity for spiritual growth. A team leader can enhance the value of the experience through careful preparation and vigorous leadership. A biblical model of missional leadership was developed and applied to the organization and leadership of a work team to the Solomon Islands in 1993. Recruitment difficulties and on-site conditions resulted in the omission of key elements in the leadership style of the team leader. These changes produced a less than satisfactory experience and learning result for the team members.
