Abstract
  • The argument of this thesis is that Christian formation is a biblical idea and the God-ordained strategy by which God accomplishes his mission in the world through his church. This thesis-project employs proactive research methods to accomplish its objectives. Chapter one identifies the problem of not properly understanding the nature, place and role of Christian formation and describes the ministry context of Beverly Heights Presbyterian Church. Chapter two examines the biblical foundation for Christian formation and chapter three explores its theological framework. Chapter four includes the field research at Beverly Heights and chapter five offers conclusions.
