Abstract
  • Theological reflections are presented on the script and production of a Christmas pageant given for the purpose of community building, entertainment and the religious education of a parish. 'From the garden to the crib' portrayed some significant events of salvation history from Adam and Eve to the nativity. A questionnaire was administered before and after the pageant to the cast, a sampling of the audience and a religious education class of eighth graders. The results indicated a growth in a sense of belonging and a better understanding of the scriptural events portrayed.
