Abstract
  • The purpose of this model is to present and evaluate one experiment in providing a weekly Sunday morning worship service in a church where the demographics make it unlikely that an appointed pastor would be the preacher on a regular basis. This methodology was entered into after all other possibilities were deemed unsuitable. It is a pattern of using a regular rotation of lay speakers and has lasted for four years. This model was not intended to be a panacea for the church, but an opportunity to maximize resources in an effort to continue a church which otherwise would be on the threshold of death.
