- Abstract
- This project was designed to answer a specific research problem: how effective would a church parent-training course be in helping preadolescent children develop their own self-esteem? The hypothesis of the research project was that if a church offers a biblically balanced and sound course of training for its parents who have preadolescent children, there will be an observable increase in the self-esteem scores of the children whose parents undergo training. The author conducted pre-test and post-test measurements of the self-esteem of preadolescednts whose parents were trained. He compared these scores with the scores of a control group whose parents received no training. The hypothesis tested positively.
