  • The problem addressed in this project concerns the future of the Air Force Chaplain Service, especially with Generation X personnel, the largest population group in the Air Force. A review of the literature on (1) Generation X and their spiritual and religious needs (2) pastoral ministry to this population, and (3) ministry in military was completed. Qualitative data on the needs of this population was gathered in discussion groups of Generation X personnel in the Air Force. A model for a ministry of work-site visitation was proposed as a way of responding to the spiritual search for meaning by Generation X personnel.
