Abstrakt

This project proposes new forms and methods of preaching that go 'beyond words' to enlist the other senses--taste, smell, touch, sight--in helping God's Word come alive. The project prepares and presents three sermons 'beyond words' to churched and to unchurched persons. Each group evaluates the sermons in a group setting and participates in personal interviews. Five out of seven members of the unchurched group experience significant encounters with God. They had wanted a connection to God, but 'church' had been in the way.
