Abstract
  • The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada was incorporated in Ottawa in 1919. The thesis examines the historical reasons for the movement's creation, development and progress in the first six decades. Initially the pioneers declared that fellowship alone was the basis of unity; however, soon the necessity of a doctrinal base was realized and this development is documented. The structural growth of the movement in eastern and western Canada and the initial organic relationship with the Assemblies of God in the United States are documented. The final aspect presents the challenge of the future. Study and research were done by extensive examination of denominational records.
