Abstract
  • The purpose of this research project was to document the process of a specific congregational decision concerning the potential use of strategic ministry planning. Through interviews of congregational leaders and randomly selected members, the researcher assessed the pre-decision knowledge and attitude of the members concerning the topic. A presentation on the topic was then prepared and presented to the congregation. Following the decision, those members involved were questioned as to what factors contributed to their decision. The researcher discovers that the congregation was not in a position to support a congregation-wide strategic ministry planning program and recommended further preparation.
