Abstract
  • This thesis is a systemic study on the development of ministries that understand and nurture the vitality of churches in Springfield, MA. The fruition of this vision is to establish an urban ministry resource center to serve churches, thus promoting the spread of the Gospel. The Emmanuel Gospel Center in Boston was the model. Social analysis, study of urban Christian literature, relevant biblical texts, hexagoning and implementing ministries around the felt needs of urban Christian leaders were the methodology. This research reveals that churches in Boston and Springfield are multiplying. Understanding and nurturing them enhance the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
