Abstract
  • This project proposes to equip a team of laypersons to serve as a volunteer church staff in Pine Hill Baptist Church (Pine Hill, Ala). In 10 weekly sessions the project defines shared ministry and trains each participant to function in an appointed ministry with others on the team. This research discloses that willingness to serve cannot be taught. Desire to give time to ministry is related to a person's discipleship. Maturity and discipleship are the decisive elements that determine a person's involvement in ministry.
