Abstract
  • This project is an assessment of the current catechetical model in St Linus parish in Oak Lawn, IL. The project's thesis is that the program merits affirmation, but that it can also develop further. This project's goal is to assess the present practice and improve the catechesis in the parish. Attention is given to the five curriculum challenges of education theorist Maria Harris. These challenges examine the process of catechesis in context of community, catechesis, prayer and liturgy, Gospel life, and service. The project suggests ways to engage parents in evangelizing others into the catechetical process.
