Abstract
  • This project proposes that, since people-helping is taught in Scripture, the purpose of local churches is to help people with stress, confusion, and demands in their daily lives. The project organizes and trains a group of caregivers to be available and the end of every worship assembly to listen, to pray, and to refer people with needs. Analysis of their ministry over a six-month period indicates that people respond positively to trained peers who can talk and pray with them.
