Abstract
  • There are social and developmental issues specific to the age group of Catholic College students in the U.S. that need to be addressed from the pulpit in ways that make the preaching experience meaningful for this congregation. The goal of this project is to present a methodology for preaching effectively to young adults in the U.S. Qualitative and quantitative data was collected at four institutions of higher education that have been founded by the Congregation of Holy Cross in the U.S. This study demonstrates that engaging college congregations on an emotional level is an effective way to preach to them.
