Abstract
  • The author combined research on the history and religious ethos of Scotland, and high-quality decision-making procedures. He led a team of ten Scottish ministers to evaluate the performance of twenty-two Southern Baptists who served in their country. The team developed a twenty-two page instrument which was used in sessions with churches interested in missionary involvement. The sessions led the churches either to ask for or to refrain from seeking Southern Baptist help. Observable and statistical data demonstrated that the use of the instrument aided churches in informed, high-quality decision-making. It predicted that the placement of Southern Baptists will be satisfactory.
