Abstract

The purpose of this project was to utilize information from research in the discipline of intercessory prayer to develop and orchestrate a workshop which equips a selected group of believers of Lakeside Baptist Church to lead an intercessory prayer ministry. The selected group received biblical and program materials as well as instruction and encouragement for enlisting others to participate in an intercessory prayer group. They also modeled prayer group sessions, which they personally lead, following participation in the workshop. The workshop format utilized eight hours of training including and introductory session, six training sessions, and a final session addressing administration and the enlistment of participants. The project results included a selected group of believers equipped to lead a new intercessory prayer ministry at Lakeside Baptist Church.
