Abstrakt

This project provided 10 to 13 weeks of one-on-one and group training in evangelistic disciple-making for 10 persons, who developed skills, vision, and a desire for faith-sharing. It was based on II Timothy 2:1-2, and the theology and methods of discipling used by Paul, the early church, and John Wesley's early Methodist class meetings. It incorporated learnings from Evangelism Explosion, Walk to Emmaus, and a previous discipling model. Evaluation indicated that disciple-making contributed to personal growth in evangelism and discipleship. It is recommended that disciple-making begin with the pastor, then multiply as a lay ministry.
