Abstract
  • This project seeks to activate lay ministry in Korean Christianity. A change in understanding of lay ministry is necessary to overcome the inactivity or passivity of the laypersons. This requires a change from a consciousness based on the Confucian tradition to the Christian idea based on the Bible and Christian tradition. This project suggests a better understanding of ministry and church office, educational programs, and important implications that are necessary for the Korean Church to activate lay ministry. Spirituality is a more important element for a change in consciousness than any other element.
