- The purpose of this project was to equip deacons of Moundville Baptsist Church, Moundville, Alabama, with reseach in the field of deacon ministry and in those specific required skills unique to the office of deacon. From the research, the project director provided the substance used to create a five-session seminar to equip select deacons. The project director utilized various methodologies of instruction such as the 'Think-Pair-Share Strategy', a signed civenant/commitment card, and role-play so that the participants would achieve optimal learning.
