Abstract
  • Biblical stewardship--accountability to the Creator-God for total life, purpose, and possessions--includes money. This project developed proposals for Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary and Eastern Mennonite Seminary to include stewardship of money as part of curriculum. Counsel from five congregational groups helped design a survey questionnaire to discover what teaching on the stewardship of money is needed and desired, and its content. Responses came from 181 pastoral graduates of the two seminaries. A resulting proposal for a financial stewardship coordinator responsible for teaching, resourcing, liaisonship, and continuing education was presented to the seminaries with initial interest expressed by both.
