Abstract

The purpose of this project was to equip a selected group of members of Stetson Baptist Church, DeLand, Florida, to lead short-term mission trips. Research into how to lead short-term mission trips was used to develop teaching plans to equip the members of the group, who had the opportunity to commit to leading a short-term mission project within the next twelve to eighteen months from Stetson Baptist Church. The project director used evaluation of the research from Philip Pinckard and Boyd Hatchel, training in writing teaching plans from Design for teaching and training by LeRoy Ford, evaluation of the teaching plans by Susie Lowry, evaluation of the training by Kevin Lowry, and evaluations by the selected group upon completion of the training. The project director increased his understanding of how to lead short-term mission trips, how to write teaching plans, and how to train a selected group of members.
