- Abstract
- The desired outcome of any preaching event is a changed lifestyle. From a Christian perspective, a critical reading of the financial meltdown in the year 2008-from Pope Benedict VI, Archbishop Rowan Williams and Reverend Stephen Green, to name a few-pointed to a dichotomizing mindset underlying a lack of consistency in ethical behavior among individuals and corporates which precipitated this economic catastrophe in the first place. Against this backdrop, the overall objective of this thesis-project was to develop a template that would form the basis for a three-credit course to equip Ministers of the Word in their Ministry towards Corporate or Business Professionals. The researcher-preacher formulated, tested and affirmed the working assumption that, the Ministry of Preaching, when it factors in the theological methodology of Teilhard de Chardin as its hermeneutic, would be efficacious in positively impacting the EQ in a person.
