- Abstract
- The goal of this project is to change the understanding of the mission of the church through an experimental project with a small group of people in a local congregation. Background studies include the theology of the church, a sociological review of the contemporary world and educational methods appropriate to a small group study. These studies are the basis for the project's curriculum and make up major sections of the paper. A change in attitude by the class participants cannot be statistically documented, but valuable insights are gained regarding the use of controversial and difficult study materials and the functioning of a small group.
