Abstract
  • This dissertation-project provides a program of family enrichment which is founded on biblical, theological, psychological and sociological standards. Characteristics of successful families were distilled from the writings of Satir, Lewis, and Stinnett, resulting in these five points: 1. there is an orderly structure; 2. family values are verbalized and supported; 3. communication is open, direct, and honest; 4. problems are faced and solved; and 5. there is a strong sense of family. Each of the sessions of the program addresses one of these characteristics, and helps families improve in that area.
