- Abstract
- The purpose of this thesis is to identify and assess the challenge of evangelizing and planting churches amongst the sizeable Cambodian population in central Massachusetts, and propose a strategy to address this challenge. American and biblical plans for church planting will be compared. The distinctive challenges of New England for first and second generation Cambodian church planting will be observed. These challenges will then be addressed by building 'bridges' which create partnerships with individuals, families, churches and the community at large. Last, a case study of a planted Cambodian-American church in Lowell, Massachusetts will be presented.
