  • This study focused on the combination of audiovisual (sight and sound) and other sensory communication (Touch, taste, smell) used in context of a thematic worship service sponsored by a large membership church in Bel Air, Maryland. The focus was on the potential likelihood of multisensory communication to bring about transformation in the life of the worshipper. Predictors of transformation used were affect and personal involvement in the multisensory aspects of the worship services. The literature review discusses some theology of revelation, shifts in communication, worship practices, biblical examples of multisensory communication, and postmodernism.
