Abstract
  • Using literature reviews and qualitative, phenomenological interviews, the research explores the experience of marriage for spouses of Alzheimer's patients. The study highlights four themes: the decision to share the diagnosis with others, loss, the need for support from one's faith community, and commitment. Using these themes the researcher designs a 4-week curriculum for churches to educate and equip congregations for caring for members who have a spouse with Alzheimer's disease.
