Abstract
  • The author, in this thesis, argues that the Korean Protestant Christians should cultivate their spirituality by going deeper into the contemplative experience through going wider to diverse prayer forms from other traditions. He led the seminars introducing the prayers to 183 members of Jooan Methodist Church, Incheon, South Korea, in which most members were not accustomed to the diverse prayer forms. The result from the written evaluations, dialogues, and the Spiritual Assessment Inventory suggests that practicing various prayers in contemplative perspctive has positive effect on spiritual maturity including their awareness of God and quality of relationship with God.
