  • Christo-cybernetic therapy was designed as a cognitve assault on depression in the lives of adult Christians. The purpose of this study was to determine whether Christians who underwent four weeks of christo-cybernetic therapy would self-report significantly less depression than Christians who did not. The results of this study suggested that: 1) cognitive therapy is a successful intervention strategy for depressed persons; 2) christo-cybernetic therapy is a hopeful intervention strategy for depressed Christians; and 3) cultivation of a biblical perspective regarding oneself and the circumstances of one's life is a deterrent to depressive moods.
