Abstract
  • The author researched the history of Pine Grove United Methodist Church, Rayville in Parkton, Maryland using interviews, surveys, and information gathering meetings, plus examination of old photographs and other memorabilia. Using the information gathered, the author wrote a chronicle of the history of the congregation. The thesis was that a church's story is the key to its future. The author also produced two DVDs. One was filmed at the church and recorded the past and present and looks to the future. The second DVD was produced using a 90-minute interview and remembrances with the three oldest members of the church.
