Abstract
  • Recognizing that the much needed revitalization of the United Methodist Church is only possible through the pure doctrinal teaching of the New Testament church, and small group method of John Wesley, the author researched how an effective and biblically rooted small group system can strengthen individual believers and stimulate church development. Using analysis of the past and present of a local church, interviews with parishioners, document study, and learning from vital congregations around the globe, the author reconstructed a system of small group ministry in the Wesleyan tradition, but adapted to the conditions of the 21st century.
