Abstract
  • The purpose of this project is to equip selected members as lay counselors at First Baptist Church, Biloxi, Mississippi. The project director will investigate other lay counseling ministries to gain insight into the needs and critical issues concerning the ministry. Such research will enable the project director to develop a structure best suited for equipping selected church members to be lay counselors for the church. Biblical theology will provide the basis for the counseling philosophies to be taught in the project. Accordingly, the project director will address doctrinal issues with accuracy and loyalty to the scripture.
