Abstract
  • This project was an effort to test a new paradigm for spiritual direction which combines spiritual biographies with the teaching of various spiritualities. In particular, the spiritualities of St Ignatius of Loyola and John Calvin were presented to volunteers in group spiritual direction to see whether those volunteers would find useful for their own spiritual journeys the answers those two towering sixteenth-century figures gave to the questions: How does one relate to God? and, How do we correct the abuses of the Church in Jesus Christ and the Apostles?
