- The purpose of this project was to equip selected men of Union Baptist Church in Seminary, Mississippi, in family leadership skills. Based on the research, the project director developed four one-hour sessions. A total of nine men participated in the four training sessions. The four sessions involved cultivating the most important relationship, understanding the importance of leadership in the family, working on becoming a servant leader in the marriage, and modeling Christian fatherhood to children. A working outline of the project goals included the following: to research the field of literature concerning men in family leadership skills, to develop training sessions so the selected men could become effective spiritual leaders in family leadership skills, and to equip the men in effective family leadership skills. Next, the professional goals included increasing the project director's knowledge of equipping men in family leadership skills and increasing the project director's skill in writing to train the nine men in family leadership skills.
