Abstract
  • The purpose of the project was to make Immanuel United Presbyterian Church into a participatory church through new membership involvement. This was accomplished through a series of teachings. An intergenerational class was the setting. The sessions became the rallying and coalescing catalyst for change. The results were phenomenal. Attitudes changed from passivity to activity, from apathy to passion and from lethargy to vitality. Age and race issues were resolved. The participants became bracingly conscientious of one another; more unity-seeking and profoundly committed to becoming a participating church.
