Abstract

The purpose of this project was to enhance the project director's preaching skills in order to communicate selected doctrinal beliefs distinctive of Baptists to the congregation of Trenton Baptist Church, Trenton, Kentucky. The project was developed using the ministry skills enhancement model. The project director researched the doctrinal beliefs distinctive of Baptists and developed a list of selected doctrinal beliefs to be addressed in a sermon series. The project director then researched and utilized resources in doctrinal preaching to develop sermons which would communicate effectively the selected beliefs, and preached the sermons to the congregation of Trenton Baptist Church in consecutive Sunday morning services.
