- The deacons of First Baptist Church have a firm commitment to their evangelistic responsibility but lack the confidence necessary to share the gospel with others. The author wrote and taught an evangelism manual to deepen the participants' confidence in their faith and their ability to share this faith with others. Through pre- and post-project questionnaires, the author measured marked improvement in the deacons' knowledge and willingness for evangelism.
