Abstract

The purpose of this project is to examine the problems inherent to the introduction of the recently approved 'United Methodist Hymnal: Book of United Methodist Worship', and to develop a plan and a process for the hymnal's introduction to Bethany United Methodist Church. The design of the practicum is to utilize lay involvement in such a way as to insure a plan that will faithfully present the new hymnal, will be pedagogically sound and will be appropiately sensitive to the special needs of Bethany inherent in introducing that which is new to a congregation.
