- Abstract
- In this dissertation the author uses Dr. Mike Lawson's Self-Guided Church Consultant[copyright symbol] to evaluate the ministry of Memorial Bible Church of Tulsa, Oklahoma, in view of its move to a new facility in 2004. The research includes an overview of the church's history, a review of the literature relevant to church evaluation, and an examination of the church's spatial, financial, temporal, and human resources. The aim of the project is to ensure that Memorial aligns its ministries with its core values and mission, and at the same time optimizes the resources so as to best enable growth. This project will demonstrate Dr. Lawson's thesis that when a church examines its stewardship of the resources God has entrusted it, with an eye to optimizing His ministry through them, it can make significant changes that will measurably enhance its overall ministry.
