Abstract
  • A major problem facing the church is an inability of its members to comprehend and apply Scriptural principles for Christian discipleship. One of the most significant biblical texts pertaining to discipleship is the Sermon on the Mount. This project assists a small group of Christians to grow in knowledge and understanding of the Sermon on the Mount, demonstrating and applying this knowledge and understanding in their lives. This project produces a study guide to be used by group members in daily family instruction. Weekly learning activities involve entire families in discipleship, supplemented by a sermon series in the local church. The group meets weekly to discuss the study guide, family experiences, sermons, and opportunities for application.
