Abstract
  • This project measured the impact of the biblical, theological, and historical knowledge of selected participants concerning incarceration ministry at Shiloh Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia. The goal was to enhance the awareness of congregants and members of the surrounding community to better understand the problems and issues regarding ministry to the incarcerated and their families. The data were collected and analyzed from three workshops conducted to evaluate the pre and post understanding of participants pertaining to incarceration. The data collected and analyzed confirms the need for this impact study and ministry to the incarceration by the Black Church.
