  • This project investigates the possibilities of increasing, by the use of story, koinonia in the Collinsville Baptist Church, Collinsville, Alabama. Chapter 1 defines the purpose and goals of the project. background information, research methodology and basic definitions for the project are given. Chapter 2 gives the biblical-historical-theological foundation for the project. Biblical uses of koinonia and story are investigated, followed by passages which show biblical use of story to increase koinonia. Chapter 3 gives the social theory behind the project, examining the nature of story and studies of group cohesion. Chapter 4 describes the implementation of the project, describes the research and the worship services of the project. Chapter 5 evaluates the successes and failures in the project and gives implications of the project for the future.
